For the past few hours Sam has been having frequent contractions (~3 minutes), along with the pain that seemed like we starting to get somewhere.
The baby seems to be doing fine, with the caveat that they want to see more variability on the monitors. Aside from right after Sam eats, or moves around a bunch, the baby is pretty chill in there. A few hours ago, the nurse put a mask on Sam and turned on some oxygen to see if it would help.
The nurse just came in and did a cervical exam to see where we're at. It's been 14 hours since the last one, and Sam doesn't seem to be progressing much. After a very painful few moments, the nurse lets us know that there's been no change.
The nurse came back and let us know that she spoke with the doctor. The doctor ordered a stop to the Pitocin, because it's obviously not doing anything, and wants to come in and see how things are going in person and will decide what the next steps are.
In the meantime, the nurses are trying to get the baby woken up and moving around some more.
